Aspirans is an educational initiative based at St Alkmund’s Church in the centre of Shrewsbury.
It is led by the Sam Baker School of Church Music.
This is a regional initiative in Shropshire, north Herefordshire, and Powys.
Working with the St Alkmund’s Church
and with The Royal School of Church Music (which has provided an organ),
the Sam Baker School of Church Music is organising workshops, courses and individual tuition
to train, encourage and support current and aspiring musicians to work
in the church and the community as keyboard players, music leaders, choir trainers and singers.
