On 4 September 2004 a statue dedicated to the memory of Jean Armour, wife of Robert Burns, was unveiled in Dumfries, South-West Scotland.
This film depicts the unveiling of the statue and tells of Jean's life during the 11 years that she was with Burns – all the pain and joy, as well as her talent as a singer, dancer and musician.
It describes her great devotion and patience to her philandering husband, the loss of five of her children, and finally, the loss of "The Man" himself.
